  • Ultra-budget lines: For fast fashion at $5 retail, conventional viscose or polyester is cheaper per unit. But check the return rate — cheap can be expensive.
  • Heavy-duty workwear: For abrasion resistance, nylon/cotton canvas beats Tencel's tear strength. But for light industrial uniforms? Tencel's comfort advantage might reduce turnover.
